Marine Machinery Association (MMA) Code of Ethics
One of MMA’s most important and valued assets is our reputation for ethical, honest, and fair behavior and business conduct. We strive to be honest and transparent in our dealings, both inside and outside of the Association, and act with the upmost integrity.
As a MMA member I agree to the following:
Comply with applicable competition and antitrust laws and regulations. This means, among other things, respect member and customer intellectual property rights and safeguard customer information and confidential information; and to not engage in price fixing, market sharing, or bid rigging.
Respect the culture and customs of every member and contribute to economic and social development through corporate activities in the maritime industry.
Foster a climate of tolerance and inclusion within the organization. Sexual harassment or discrimination on the basis of sex, race, gender, age, political affiliation, sexual orientation or any other protected class will not be tolerated.
MMA asks it members to engage in fair, open and honest competition amongst those who are competing for the same contracts.
Handle any disagreements with other members in the organization as would be expected of an industry professional. You are expected to work your differences out with the other party directly and with civility.
Do not publicly disparage other MMA members, the MMA leadership or the organization itself.
MMA has a zero tolerance for hostile, negative and aggressive comments on social media.
The Executive Committee along with the Board of Directors reserves the right to take any action to maintain and preserve good order.
